Problem:
The following appears when installing the application:
installDriver Module
InstallDriver Module has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working
correctly. Please close the program
-> Close the program
Why and How to avoid it?
Solution:
In this case it was directly related to a security software from Microsoft called EMET that was preventing the install shield (C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\InstallShield\Driver\8\Intel 32\IDriver.exe) from executing properly and completing the Bentley AutoPIPE V8i Test SELECT series 5 Acceptance Test Set install.
Avoidance:
Add it to the list of application exceptions, and turn off DEP, so the installation would continue.
