Description:
Bentley AutoPIPE Vessel CONNECT Edition is a stand-alone, engineering application for the comprehensive calculation of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and air coolers to ASME, European, British PD, French CODAP, German ADM, and Russian GOST standards. It is the only program to perform truly optimized vessel design in minutes and produce fully automated detailed drawings and cost estimates.
Major New CONNECT Edition features include:
Enhancements
-
-
- Code Update PD 5500:2012+A3:2014 (British Design Code)
- Code Update EN 13445:2014 (European Design Code)
- Code Update AD 2000-Merkblatter 2013 and 2014 edition (German Design Code)
- Code Update API 650 12th Edition Addendum 1, September 2014
- EN 13445-3 : option not to multiply by 2 the thickness of a head when an offset nozzle is close to the Tangent Line
- US formats ( A, B, C, D and E ) for the 2D drawings
Defect
-
-
- #181282: The thickness of a reducer (fitting accessory), defined by user, was not correctly taken into account (a schedule value had to be used).
- #185859: Load cases: defect concerning vertical vessels with multiple chambers and vertically tested. Foundation loads and stresses computed in the part "Vessel Under Combination Loadings" could be wrong.
- #185868: Load cases: wrong test calculation for double jacketed vessels, for a vertical vessel with vertical test defined, chamber 2 and 3 must be tested simultaneously.
- #203956: Lifting Lugs Type D: the field used to input the distance between two lugs had been disabled (regression v33.3.0.20).
- #204826: In some cases, the Microstation drawing interface crashed when generating the 2D drawing with Windows 8.1.
- #212835: The calculation of the allowable compressive stress according to EN 13445 16.14.8 is wrong when the ratio of diameter/thickness is greater than 424. The calculation is conservative.
