Problem:

How to copy/export data to MS Excel or MS Access

Solution:

 How to copy / export AutoPIPE's input or results grid data to MS Excel:

---

1. Open model

2. Open Input grids by pressing on the Icon in the top toolbar or by using the menu command.

3. Select a tab on the grids (example, Input grid> Press/Temp/PipeID)

4. Select the square in the top most left corner
   
    
   

5. The entire gride should now be highlighted black.
   
   
   
   

6. Press Cntl+C (copy clip to clipboard)

7. Open MS Excel, blank sheet

8. In cell A1, press Cntl + V (paste from clipboard)
   
   
   

9. Done

How to copy / export AutoPIPE's input or results grid data to MS Access:

1. Open model in AutoPIPE

2. Please see the following AutoPIPE help section:

   Help > Contents> Contents Tab> Command Reference> File Commands> Export> Exporting a Model

• • Input Database (*.mdb)

  • Results Database (*.mdb)

Note: Sometimes there are problems associated with copy / pasting to / from the input grids. Sometimes the following is displayed: "Selection type different"

Even if the data looks same as those copied from input grids. The following has been logged, TFS-D170633, Input Grid: Cannot copy data from MS Excel to input grid. Until this has been added, use the following workaround: 

• • Copy a cell of input grid column (where data will be pasted from excel)
  • Copy data from Excel
  • Paste in the cell(s) of input grid

Please see the video for workaround. Keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl + C & Ctrl + V) works as well.
