Problem:

Why does results of a dynamic analysis show that the response accelerations are lower than ZPA at most of the nodes in AutoPIPE Accelerations output report?

Example:

Input FRSs have ZPA 0.45g(173 in/s/s) in X direction, 0.55g(211 in/s/s) in in Y direction and 0.51g(196in/s/s) in Z direction as shown FRS files

Multiplication factor for FRSs are 1.5, 2.25 and 1.5 in X, Y and Z direction.

Issue is that the result of dynamic analysis shows the response accelerations are lower than ZPA at most of the nodes

Solution:

AutoPIPE does not automatically calculate ZPA if MSRS is enabled. To capture the ZPA, increase the cutoff frequency so it is higher than ZPA values found in the AutoPIPE's SPC seismic files .

As a side note, another reason why it may be good to increase the cutoff frequency, capture as much contributing modal mass.
