Modify Elements Tool:
This tool is particularly useful to move dimension lines to improve isometrics readability and to quickly resolve any un-desired overlaps of dimensions. The following image shows where you can find this tool on the Tasks pane. Click on the icon to activate the tool.
Click on any part of an existing dimension line (note: cursor will change shape when hovering over a snap a dimension snap point), The dimension has been selected when it changes color as shown below:
Move your mouse up or down to move the dimension line to a new location. Click the Left mouse button anywhere on the screen sets this point as the new location of that dimension line.
Another example, one also use this method to move the dimension label away. This is particularly useful if the label is overlapping with custom symbols or other annotation.
Modify Label Tool
This tool is useful to move default and custom annotation to improve isometric readability of and to quickly resolve any un-desired overlaps of annotation. The following image shows the IsoExtractor menu, where you can click Modify Label Tool to activate this tool.
In the example below, the annotation A360 is moved away from the pipeline on the right.
1. Select the Modify Label tool, then click on the A360 annotation.
2. Move your mouse to move the annotation with the mouse to a new location
3. Click on any location and the annotation is moved to the new location on the screen.
