Problem:

Why only AutoPIPE DAT file is copied down from ProjectWise, missing all supporting files (ex. CMB, UNIT, TIH, THL. etc..)?

Solution:

Most likely cause is because model and supporting files were copied directly to ProjectWIse folder from computer instead of saving model from within AutoPIPE to ProjectWise using the Add to ProjectWise command. Use the following procedure to fix this issue:

Procedure for adding model without hierarchy to ProjectWise with hierarchy

  1. Copy out all the files in a local folder which are on ProjectWise server but not linked:

  2. Go to the local workspace folder and ensure the files have been downloaded

  3. Open the model in AutoPIPE

  4. Make sure to rename the folder on ProjectWise server if it is same as the name of the model.

  5. From ProjectWise Menu (File->ProjectWise) or Application Button->ProjectWise, select ‘Add’ option.

  6. Provide Login credentials if not already signed-in

  7. Select the appropriate folder on ProjectWise dialog for saving the model.

  8. Also Click Yes for creating a separate folder for the model (Recommended). If this files to be added on the server are already existing, the document set relation will not be created.

  9. Program will give a confirmation message on completion:

  10. Confirm the update using ProjectWise Explorer and note that only the supported file types would be uploaded to the server.

  11. Click on the Walkthru.dat file (Please note a tree icon on the file)

  12. In the dependency tab, a full file structure would be shown, describing the associated files.
