Can all 3 transient profiles be started at the same time in AutoPIPE's Fluid transient module?
Example:
There are 3 separate .TIH files on different segments and not necessarily at the elbow points. All my .TIH files have 5000 data pairs from time 0 to 1 sec with time step 0.2 ms.
The format of the TIH file is important and the nature of the load. You can apply the load where you want, providing this aligns with how it was created.
The .TIH file is applicable anywhere between bend to bend or bend to Tee. So I can apply at any node between bend bend or bend to tee or tee to bend depending on where the .TIH file is assigned. Now the arrival time for all .TIH files will be zero, right?
There is no way of telling exactly what the settings should be without reviewing the model and having a detailed explanation of what is to be modeled. Specifically, no idea what the arrival time is as this would depend on how the files were created. If they are the time histories at those points, they should have the time phasing included, but I cannot say as I don't have all the information.
If all three events start at the same time, then you can enter Start Time as 0.00 for all three events in the THL file. If the events do not happen simultaneously, then you need to enter then time at which the events start.
The individual User will have to decide.
