Problem:

Are there more Modal output reports available not currently printed in a standard output report when using AutoPIPE?

Solution:

 Yes,

There is more information available under the following, File> Print> Reports> MODAL Output command not available in the normal output reports.

This report contains 3 sections:

Displacement

INDIVIDUAL MODAL CONTRIBUTIONS FOR RESPONSE SPECTRUM RESULTS

Local Forces and Moments

Relative Acceleration:

Note: This information is only available after analyzing a Time History or Response Spectrum analysis with the Dynamic "Print Modal Results" setting enabled. A *.MOD file is created in the same folder as the model. Then the user can us the File> Print> Reports> Modal sub-report command.

In addition there is an EigDump feature that is undocumented. To enable this feature, users must modify the "UseEigExp=0" setting from "0" to "1" in the Autopipe.ini file, indicated below:

Note: this file is located in the user's profile folder and should not need ADMIN rights to the computer to make this change.

Then after running modal analysis, go to the Results menu and select "Export Eigenvalues (*.txt)"

AutoPIPE will generate the ASCII file ModelName_EIG.TXT which contains the frequencies, mode shapes and nodal forces/moments.

Using the following theory reference #1 found in AutoPIPE help may be used to find additional terms and answer more questions about modal analysis output:
