Thermal expansion units are 'inch/100ft' . It doesn’t include degrees. Why?
That means I have to calculate the expansion for my temperature and have to change it every time temperature is changed?
The thermal expansion field is used to input the thermal expansion data for each operating case. For non-standard (NS) materials, the thermal expansion data can be entered and modified. If the coefficient changed for different temperatures, it would have to be manually adjusted for each operating case. For standard and code materials, the field is automatically populated with information retrieved from the material library for the appropriate temperature.
