Problem:

How to find the weight of a component or selection set in AutoPIPE?

Solution:

Currently there is no method of selecting a range of piping and get the weight directly. However, there is a method to report the entire weight and Center of Gravity location for all the piping visible on screen in a model. See the following:

Tools> Model Input Listing> Center of Gravity (CofG) report.

For the given Model the total weight is reported:

Hide or delete part of the model to get a report on specific piping:

Re-run the Center of Gravity report

A new enhancement has been logged: TFS-E134372: CAE-CR-7986 - Add option to display weight of highlighted selection
