Problem:

How to model an internal blast inside of a piping system in AutoPIPE?

Answer:

Depending on the code trying to satisfy, like  NFPA 85 (National Fire Protection Association). Based on the piping containing the explosion as a 50 psig pressure at operating conditions with limits on combined stress from mechanical and internal pressure.  The alternate way to meet the code is to test the piping at an highly elevated pressure set by the code.
