Can I import combinations between AutoPIPE models?
Yes and No, pending the version of AutoPIPE installed:
Not directly, see the following process:
a. Model XYZ.DAT has a list of combination that you want to use in model ABC.DAT.
b. Confirm the same load cases and analysis sets are in both models.
c. After confirmation, close AutoPIPE and perform the following:
1. Open the folder where XYZ.DAT file is located and copy XYZ.CMB file to the folder where model ABC.DAT is located
2. Rename the copied file in the new folder location as ABC.CMB.
d. Start AutoPIPE, open model ABC.DAT the combinations should be available in the model.
Note: the CMB file name must match exactly the same as the DAT file name (except for the file extension) for this file manipulation to work.
Yes, on the Tools> Combinations> press the "Combination Options" button, near the bottom of the listing is a command "Import Combination File".
See AutoPIPE's help for more details on this feature.
