The article "A proposed design procedure for buried safety related piping at nuclear power facility" published in ASME PVP-360 was one of the papers used for calculations of some of the stress for buried pipelines. That criteria in that article is presented for plants designed to B31.1 and ASME NC and ND.
The CAE development team are working towards extending these calculations for other design codes (specifically for ASME B31.4 and ASME B31.8 at the moment). However, in doing so they would want to use a criteria which is referenced or appropriate for these design codes.
In future versions, you will be able to see more stress categories for buried pipelines for other categories along with other enhancements for buried pipelines.
