With the Location and Design Manual Volume 3 January 20th, 2023, update. All signatures within a plan set shall be a digital signature. Note that R/W plat sheets might not have a digital signature as those are signed for the purposes of filing with county auditor/engineer/recorders offices (which have different signature requirements) and is not for submission to OHDOT. The R/W Title sheet will contain the digital signatures required by OHDOT for submission. See the Real Estate Manual section 3000 for more information.
In order to comply with OAC 4733-23-01 in regard to electronically signing and sealing documents, signatures shall be digital signatures on the PDF plan set. This will ensure that if modifications are made to the signed pdf after the digital signatures are placed that the signatures will be invalidated and require the signatures to be re-signed.
