To replace the file(s) using the Export method, right-click on the case folder where the restored document(s) is located and select Export... the Folder Export Wizard dialog below with popup. Select the Send to Folder option then click the Next button.
Then Click the Browse… (it's important to check 1 & 2 as shown below)
This will prompt the Windows File Explorer dialog. Navigate to a location to export the restored file(s). Then click Select Folder.
Within the Folder Export Wizard click Next. The Folder will begin to Export as shown below.
Once this process has completed make sure that the Show exported files when complete is checked then click Finish. Create a new folder (Ex: Export) within the Windows File Explorer dialog that was opened. Then navigate to the project file that you want to replace within ProjectWise and right-click Export. Within the Document Export Wizard select the Export option shown below then select Next.
Then click Browse… (Windows File Explorer should open to the case number that was exported)
Open the new folder (Ex: Export) and click Select Folder.
Within the Document Export Wizard click Next. The all the attached files will begin to Export as shown below then click Finish. Within ProjectWise the Exported file will show indicating the file is exported locally.
Once this process has completed click Finish. Within Windows File Explorer dialog that was opened navigate back to the exported case folder. Right-click the restored project file and click Copy. Right-click the new folder (Ex: Export) and select Paste. The dialog Replace or Skip Files will popup (shown below) and select the Replace the file in the destination.
Once the file has been replaced open ProjectWise and right-click the project file the select Import. The Check-In Document dialog will prompt you to add a comment.
The file will then be imported back into ProjectWise and The file is now ready to be used.
