This method requires the user to run the reference resolver tool. All references will be missing and will need to be relinked after you complete the following steps listed below. Because the reference resolver tool is needed this is not the preferred method to replace your corrupt file(s).
To replace the file, right-click on the document and select Properties. From the General tab under the Advanced dropdown select Replace as shown below.
If the file is referenced by other documents, you will see this dialog click Yes.
Click Yes and browse to the ZZ_Restore folder location.
Select the appropriate file then select Open and then Save within the Properties dialog. You will get a loading dialog Importing Documents…
Once the loading is finished Close the properties dialog. At this point the file has been replaced with the restored file(s) but none of the references will be linked. To fix those references the Reference Resolver tool will need to be run. follow the procedures outlined in the Reference Resolver video here.
