In ORD 10.12, ODOT's parametric headwall cells (HW1.1_TypeA_Parametric, HWBC_TypeA_Parametric, HWBC_TypeB_Parametric, and HWBC_TypeB_RightAngle_Parametric) are not placing the wingwall angle correctly and/or if a headwall cell was placed in ORD 10.10 then modified in ORD 10.12 the wingwall angle is shown incorrectly. ODOT has filed defect #1281897 with Bentley. While we continue to work with Bentley for a permanent solution, a temporary workaround is provided below. Currently, this workaround is only recommended to be used in ORD 10.12.  

Temporary solution

Follow the steps listed below to fix the parametric cells.

1. Navigate to the Drawing workflow.

2. Select the Annotate tab within the tool bar.

3. Select the dialog launcher button on the Cells group.

4. Once the Cell Library dialog is opened click on the File > Attach File… as shown.

5. From the Attach Cell Library dialog browse to and select OHDOT_3D_Headwalls_ORD1012.cel from the location below:

a. ODOT Internal users or External users working ODOT's ProjectWise Datasource use:

pw:\\ohiodot-pw.bentley.com:ohiodot-pw-02\Documents\03 Standards\CADD Standards\CONNECT_Config\WorkSpaces\OHDOTCEv02\Standards\Cell\3D\OHDOT_3D_Headwalls_ORD1012.cel

b. External users – working within your local workspace use:

\OHDOTCEv02\Standards\Cell\3D\OHDOT_3D_Headwalls_ORD1012.cel 

6. New cells can now be placed with the correct wingwall angle. 

7. If a .dgn already contained a headwall parametric cell, the Alert shown below will appear.

a. Select the Update button.

b. The parametric cells that have already been placed should automatically update and fix themselves.

Note: The cell library OHDOT_3D_Headwalls_ORD1012.cel should only be used in ORD 10.12, if used in ORD 10.10 the headwall cells will not be placed correctly. (ODOT skipped use of ORD 10.11 internally and are uncertain of the behavior of the cell libraries in this version.)
