This issue/error seems to arise if you close a .dgn file with a Dynamic Cross section View active/opened before closing the file. There is a good chance that you will get the above referenced error, this will make it so you cannot Check in the Document (stuck in coming in status). This issue seems to be a rare occurrence but can be reproduced in almost every instance/attempt. Not all .dgn files don't seem to have a problem with active/opened Dynamic Cross Section Views. It appears the Dynamic Cross section Views seem to get corrupt over time.

 

Solution to fix error 58002:

To avoid this problem, we recommend that you close and even delete your active/opened Dynamic Cross Section View before closing your dgn file. To delete Dynamic Cross Section Views, use this key-in command: geometry dynamicsection deletedxsviews
