Question:

Why doesn't the end-area volume of material show up in the volume report?

 

Answer:

Material volumes will only appear in the report for closed shape components. Verify that the component in the template is a closed shape by right-clicking on the component and choosing Edit Component.  Check the box marked "Close Shape" on the Component Properties dialog. Re-create the surface and update the display of the components in the cross section set before generating the XML data by selecting Evaluation > Cross Section > Cross Sections > End-Area Volumes.
