Problem:

Although I imported my horizontal alignment using chord definition, the results are reporting the arc length instead of chord length.

Solution:

Go to File > Project Options.  Click on the Geometry tab and ensure that the Horizontal Chord Definition is set to "Chord" and Measure is set to "Along Chord".
