Problem: 

Why do I have to launch InRoads from MDL Applications?

 

Solution: 

There are other options for launching InRoads; the most common is to create a shortcut on your desktop. 

Select start from your status bar, and then select All Programs and Bentley.  Next, select InRoads Group V8i (SELECTseries2) and then Bentley License Tool.

Within this dialog box, note which InRoads Products are “Activated” and close (these are the products for which you have a license).

Select start from your status bar, and then select All Programs and Bentley.  Next, select InRoads Group V8i (SELECTseries2), now right-click on the product for which you have a license, Send to and then Desktop (create shortcut). 

You can now launch InRoads from this desktop icon.
