Question:

After cutting a profile with an offset from the centerline of the roadway in surface properties, the elevations at a specific station on the surface, cross sections, and the offset profile do to always match.

Solution:

When verifying the elevations between the surface, cross sections and profile; it is important to remember that the offset elevation in your profile is based on the surface elevation offset by a specific distance, not just a horizontal offset.  A great check is to use Surface>View Surface>Single Point command.  This command will allow the user to place a single point on the surface as the offset command does in the Surface Properties command.
