Problem Description

When processing a CSV file in PowerCivil through File > Import > Survey Data it is not reading the line numbers. All the styles are set up correctly but when selecting the CSV-Parcer file format to import the CSV file, it will not process all the information correctly.

Reason

The survey data is formatted through a TIW on import.  In this case they had an EXE file that was utilized to format the data and import it.  The Preference XIN stores the Files of Type but it only pints to a TIW (in this case the EXE) to actually format the data on import into the fieldbook.  They had this EXE on an existing machine under C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\PowerCivil V8i\PowerCivil\InRoadsGroup\data but the new machine did not have the executable.  So we copied it over to the new computer and the import worked as it should.

Additional Information

This same type problem can occur when trying to open an FWD and the file will not open.  The FWD is actually formatted from the Survey.TIW file so if this TIW is corrupt it will not import the data correctly.  You will have to copy the survey.TIW from another machine or request it from support to get the format correct when opening the file.
