Question:

Why is the "Apply" button greyed out on the Edit Style dialog?

Answer:

If the preference file (XIN) is set to Read-Only, you will be unable to make changes to this file, and therefore the Apply button will be greyed out in the Edit Style dialog. You can change the access mode by right-clicking on the preference file name in the InRoads Explorer.  You may also need to check the permissions of the folder the XIN file resides in.
