Problem

How to Create Multiple Plots from a Single MicroStation Design File using Organizer.

Solution

Using Organizer to describe plot shapes

-From the Create Plots dialog box, click Add.

-Select the design file you want to plot, then click Open.

-From the Create Plots dialog box, under Manually specified options, select MicroStation DGN files.

-From the Create Plots dialog box, click Options.

-Click the Area tab.

-Click the Describe Plot Shape button.

-From the Describe Plot Shape dialog box, specify the Plot Shape properties, and then select Create one plot for each matching shape.

-Select OK three times to bring the plots into the Organizer window.

-Select File – Print to plot the drawings. Using Organizer to specify sheet definitions

-From the Create Plots dialog box, click Add.

-Select the design file you want to plot, then click Open.

-From the Create Plots dialog box, under Manually specified options, select MicroStation DGN files.

-From the Create Plots dialog box, click Options.

-Click the Area tab.

-Under Search models, type IP_SHEETDEF_MODELS. To specify design models, type IP_DESIGN_MODELS. To specify all models, type an *.

Select OK two times to bring the plots into the Organizer window.

Select File - Print to plot the drawings.
