Problem

How to upgrade your client machines to a more updated VPR/Viper (webclient) control (in order to access digital archives on a recently upgraded plot server)?

Solution

Take the following steps on each client machine:
$ cd C:\Program Files\Common Files\Bentley Shared\Vpr
$ regsvr32 /u vprctl.dll
Then have user access an archive on the updated plot server -- vpr will be automatically upgraded/installed
