Problem

Can I use a UNC path to define the location of the User and Project workspace in IPLOT? 

Solution

No. We just support the actual User or Project name. If you use MicroStation command line arguments that IPLOT should use when invoking MicroStation during IPARM creation and metafile generation we have a variable:
IPLOT_MSENGINE_OPTIONS
in the IPLOT.CFG file that by default is not set. If enabled and the strings contents are correct IPLOT then appends the value string to the command line that launches MicroStation.
