 Problem Description

User want to install ProjectWise InterPlot Server on Windows Server 2008 R2 64 bits. Still the old HP DesignJet 750C is used. What HP driver can be used for this version?

Steps to Resolve

    1. See HP solution at: http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/Printers-Designjet-Large-Format/DesignJet-750c-E-A0-driver-for-Windows-Server-2008/m-p/1140103#M22315
Driver pl532en works for HP DesignJet 750C+ on Windows 7 (64 bit)
However the printer driver is supported for Windows 7 it happens to work for Windows Server 2008 as well.

Search on HP Web site WWW.HP.COM for driver  pl532en and download correct version for 64 bits Windows version

  1. Use ProjectWise InterPlot Driver Pack.
Driver’s for HP DesignJet 750 are:

HP DesignJet 750C CMY by Bentley
HP DesignJet 750C CMYK by Bentley
HP DesignJet 750C HPGL/2 by Bentley
HP DesignJet 750C HPRTL by Bentley
HP DesignJet 750C Merged by Bentley
HP DesignJet 750C Mono by Bentley

Note: ProjectWise InterPlot Driver pack contains a list of retired printer drivers. These are the drivers for older plotters. Normally these retired drivers do not appear in printer driver list.
However the is a way making these drivers visible by:
Create a new system variable name DP_ARCV and give the variable some value (such as 1)

From START>Settings>Control Panel>System, click on the Advanced Tab. Navigate the mouse to the “Environment Variables” button. The following dialog should appear.

In the User variables section, select “New”

In the case of the ProjectWise Plotting Driver Pack, you must use the variable name DP_ARCV and give the variable some value (such as 1)

The newly created environment variable will display.

Once this user environment variable is set, the customer should reinstall the ProjectWise Plotting Driver Pack.
This will copy and install all of the drivers.
