Problem
The iCS server has been moved to a different server. Users in ProjectWise Explorer are submitting renditions using right-click on the document and selecting Create Rendition. They are still seeing the old server. How can I make the users see the new server name?
Solution
On the ProjectWise Integration Server, modify the dmskrnl.cfg on the to point to the new iCS server. Also make sure the new server is in the trusted servers section. See below.
Edit the dmskrnl.cfg file (C:\Program Files\Bentley\ProjectWise\bin\dmskrnl.cfg)
- Search for [Trusted Servers] section. Add a line in this section with the following:
ics = 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0
- Search for [Trusted Servers] section. Add a line in this section with the following:
- This will allow any machine to use iCS.
- Search for [RenditionWebServices] section. Add a line in this section with the following:
dcsserver = http://YourMachine/RenditionService/RenditionService.svc
This points to your rendition web service.
