Problem Description

User is getting an error from PW Explorer > Create rendition results in error – “Failed to compile a monitor from a given string”

Steps to Resolve

First, try to create a job on the ICS Server and test if you can create a rendition from the ICS Admin module in order to rule out if it is an ICS configuration issue. If successful, you can narrow the debug to focus on the ProjectWise Explorer rendition profile or components. In this case the ICS server job ran successfully.

Upon further examination, it became apparent the User has not assigned a Workflow State to the destination folder, thus the error. User configured the print appearance to vary depending on the Workflow and State. Assign a Workflow to the Folder in PW Explorer.
