In Job Builder > Options > Publish Settings, “Publish Displayed Attachments Only” can be used to publish reference files that are displayed only and exclude references that are not displayed. This feature is available by default and can be used if the publishing engine (i.e MicroStation) supports it.

 

Bentley Automation Service CONNECT Edition 10.00.02.01 and later contains an undocumented feature that can be used as an option to exclude all reference files, including self-references (active file attached to itself).

To enable this feature, set the following system environment variable on the BAS server.

EnableRemoveAllReferences=1

 

With the system variable set, “Remove all reference files” will be added to the Publish Settings dialog.

 

Remove EnableRemoveAllReferences as a system environment variable to remove this option.
