Question:

When trying to place conduit between nodes, receive the following message in the heads-up display:

Answer:

This message is usually displayed when the node type does not match the type of conduit that you are attempting to place.  For example, if the nodes have been assigned a Feature Definition for a drainage structure, you can only place a drainage conduit as a link between nodes.  If you attempt to place a water line between the drainage nodes, this message will be returned.

Keep in mind that nodes/links that are placed with no feature definitions assigned are automatically placed as water nodes/links.
