Audit trail no longer logging document actions after upgrade

Problem Description

User recently upgraded from 08.11.07.107 to 08.11.11.574.  His users started complaining that the audit trail was no longer logging document actions such as check-in, checkout, modify, create, etc. Checked his audit trail settings and all the check-in \ checkout \ create \ modify etc.. settings were unchecked.

This is a known issue when upgrading from a version that used the old audit trail settings to a newer version that uses the more robust audit trail settings.

Steps to Resolve

  1. Log into ProjectWise Administrator as an admin
  2. Right click on the datasource and choose properties
  3. Click on the Audit trail tab
  4. Click on Settings
  5. Click on Document
  6. In the Logging Options field, check on the options you want to track with audit trail
  7. Click apply and okay
