Explanation

When connecting a SS4ru ProjectWise client (08.11.11.559) to a SS1 (08.11.07.xx) Projectwise Integration server I get the following error when attempting to log in

How to Avoid

There is a blurb in the SS4ru Projectwise readme.. under installation notes

• In order to use ProjectWise Explorer V8i (SELECTseries 4) Refresh with ProjectWise Integration Server V8i (SELECTseries 1), the Integration Server requires an updated DMSKRNL.EXE file, build version 08.11.07.152. Please contact Bentley technical support for details.

 Once you receive the updated DMSKRNL.exe do the following steps

On the Integration Server
Stop the Projectwise integration server service
Go to the c:\program files(86)\bentley\projectwise\bin Rename the current dmskrnl.exe
Place the new dmskrnl.exe in the bin folder
Restart the integration server service
