Projectwise Administrator does not see ODBC datasource connection
User was using the ‘New Datasource Wizard’ (in PW SS4) to create a new Datasource. When he reached the ‘Specifying the ODBC connection details’ page, the ODBC connection he created (using the 32bit ODBC tool) did not show in the pull down.
Projectwise SS3 and older versions require the 32bit ODBC tool (odbcad32.exe) which is found in the C:\Windows\SysWOW64 directory. This is because these versions of Projectwise were still considered a 32bit application.
Projectwise SS4 and above are now 64 bit applications. For SS4 and above, you will need to use the 64bit ODBC tool found by going to ‘Start \ All programs \ Administrator Tools \ Data Sources (ODBC)
