Question :

On importing an alignment from a landxml file and then trying to edit the same using quick alignment method a message is displayed, saying "G-string is not suitable for quick alignment".

Answer :

If the alignment contains curve to curve section with no intermediate straight quick alignment is not suitable in such case. You can however, work with the alignment using the element method. For this go to "Design > Alignment", select the model. From the "Begin Alignment" dialog box, select "Horizontal Alignment". Check Mark the option "Retrieve Alignment" and select the alignment from graphics. Hit Next and you are good to edit the alignment.
