Question:

Is there a way in which the 'Alignment Name' of a horizontal alignment can be annotated in the design file plan?

Answer:

There are two ways in which this can be accomplished.

  1. Display the name of a single alignment through the Drafting > Place Plan Note.  With the Settings adjusted and the Placement Mode set to 'Element', you can select the horizontal geometry and have the alignment name annotated in a note.
  2. Use the Geometry > View Geometry > Closed Areas command to display the name of closed shape alignments (i.e. Lots) to display the name in the center of the closed area.  This can only be utilized with closed alignments and it a great tool if working on larger scale subdivisions in which you have multiple lots to annotate in a single command.
