Error or Warning Message

Microsoft Core XML Services (MSXML) 6.0 not found.  Please install MSXML 6.0 to run ProjectWise Explorer V8i(SELECTseries 4)

Explanation

This can happen when running the MSI directly on a Windows 7 machine with UAC enabled, if the Windows user does not have full elevated permissions.

 

How to Avoid

1. Click start and type CMD in the search field

2. Right click on cmd.exe and select "Run as Administrator"

3. Browse to the location of the MSI file, for example:

cd c:\bentleydownloads\pwclt081111559en\explorer (cd and then the path to the MSI file)

4. Start typing the name of the file and hit the tab key (be sure to select the correct one depending on the OS, 32 or 64 bit)

5. Complete the installation wizard as normal
