Question:
Where is the template drop interval set when using a linear template along a corridor feature?
Answer:
The template drop interval is defined in the following MicroStation configuration variables:
CIVIL_DEFAULT_LINEAR_STROKING
CIVIL_DEFAULT_CURVE_STROKING
The linear stroking variable defines how often to compute a point or template drop interval location on a tangent segment. In general, for a curved segment the tool will use the smaller template drop interval computed from either the linear stroking or curve stroking value.
This variables are not used by Corridor Modeling. If not set, the default linear stroking value is 10 and default curve stroking value is 0.05. This is used when generating 3d elements and the Apply Linear Template command.
