Problem Description

Working in InRoads SS2 08.11.07.615 and MicroStation 08.11.07.443.  When I try to load the product by directly clicking on a DGN file, there is no Applications Menu in MicroStation once it loads to be able to access InRoads.

 

Steps to Resolve

If you launch it by selecting a file, then you must load the command line switch through a MicroStation config file instead of setting the command line switch on the MicroStation icon Properties. 

1. Create a new text document at C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries)MicroStation\config\system.

2. Name the file LoadInRoads.cfg and say Yes if it prompts you to change the extension.

3. Then open that textfile and copy in the following:    Load_InRoads_SS2=1

 Now you can save that config file and load MicroStation by selecting the .dgn file and the applications menu should be available.
