I want to run the Create Terrain Model from Field Book Selection Set command, by my selection set clears as soon as I right-click on Field Books?

Answer:

In order for you to use the “Create Terrain Model from Field Book Selection Set” tool, you have to hold down the Ctrl key as you right-click on Field Books.  If you hold down the Ctrl key while you right-click, it will keep the selection set active as you select the command.

The reason this is happening is because the program treats a selection in the Explorer the same as a selection in graphics, therefore, it is clearing the selection set when you click on Field Books.  Holding down the Ctrl key allows the program to keep the selection set as you select the command in the Explorer.
