Problem
SelectServer deployed doesn"t work. Afte restart of Windows this problem occurs, also the SELECTserver Administrator page cannot be found. In IIS Manager the default web page is stopped. If we try to start the default web page, we receive an error message: Unexpected error 0x8ffe2740 occurred.
Solution
This problem occurs, if the http port 80 is in use by another application. In this special case Skype was using this port 80, this could be verified with the TCPView tool, which can be downloaded here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb897437.aspx
To solve the problem , disable in Skype Tools > Options > Advanced >
Connection the option "Use port 80 and 443 as alternatives for incoming connection".
Save this change and restart skype. Afterwards the default web page in IIS Manager can be restarted and SELECTserver works correct, and the Admonistrator page for SELECTserver can be opened.
