IMS 2.0 Test Instructions

Testing IMS 2.0 Pre-Production Environment

1. Update hosts file on your local machine to direct to IMS 2.0

Note:  You must have administrator privileges on your computer in order to edit the hosts file.

Bentley offers a tool that can be used to automatically update the hosts file to point the domain https://ims.bentley.com to the IMS 2.0 environment.  We recommend using this tool to switch to the IMS 2.0 environment for testing (click the Activate 2.0 button) and then switching back to the IMS 1.0 environment (click the Activate 1.0 button) when you complete your testing and are ready to resume your daily work.

The tool can be downloaded from HERE.

Instructions to manually update the hosts file to direct traffic to IMS 2.0 is available on this wiki.
