Question:

Is there a way to export a single sheet from the cross section models to a new DGN file?

Answer:

File > Save As > Options > Filter > Models.  From here you can select individual models to filter and save.  This will generate a single DGN file which contains the cross section information, with all necessary referenced files attached.
