Licensed Product Will Not Activate

Problem:

I have a licensed copy of InRoads, however I am unable to activate it.  Product will only run in demo mode.

Solution:

Try the following steps to resolve your issue:

  1. Ensure that you are launching the specific product for which you are licensed.  For example, you may be attempting to launch InRoads Suite when you only are licensed for InRoads Site.  To do this, go to the Windows start menu and select Start > All Programs > Bentley > InRoads Group v8i SELECTseries > Bentley License Tool.  Locate the product you are attempting to activate and make sure you have an available license.  If not, check with your site adminstrator or account manager regarding licensing.  You may need to step through the Product Activation Wizard to check the license server and Activation Key to make sure they are input correctly for activating the licenses.

     

  2. In the Bentley License Tool on the Activation Status tab highlight the product you wish to activate and select Activate



  3. In the License Management Tool, select Tools > Send Logs Now



  4. Relaunch the product to test if the activation was successful.
  5. If this is not successful, on the License Checkout tab of the Bentley License Tool, locate the product you are unable to activate.  Highlight the product and click CheckOut.  Enter your email address and select OK.  You should get a Results box with the status as "Success".  Select Close

  6. Again on the License Checkout tab, highlight the checked out product in the bottom pane.  Select CheckIn.



  7. If this is unsuccessful, contact Bentley Support for assistance.
