Bentley Licensing Tool does not recognize CONNECTION Client is signed in

Problem Description

Products using the Subscription Entitlement Service fail to open. The Bentley Licensing Tool does not display an email address in the upper left even though CONNECTION Client is signed in. Additionally, the Service Running and CC Signed In tests in the Health Check tool are failing.

Steps to Resolve

A communications issue is occurring between two installed licensing components. The named pipes feature of Windows is not functioning properly which may require employment of an alternative communication method. Please contact licensing support using one of the following methods:

  1. Call our support line and choose option 2 followed by 1 to speak to a licensing analyst.
  2. Create a service request, choose the Technical Support tile, and select CONNECTION Client as the product. To expedite the troubleshooting process, please gather diagnostic logs, and attach them when creating the service request.
