We have received reports that many machines are experiencing an issue with CONNECTION Client consuming large amounts of CPU. This is happening after Microsoft Windows Update applies KB5011831 or KB5013942. These updates apply to Windows 10 versions 20H2, 21H1 and 21H2.
We are actively working to try to identify what change in this Microsoft update is causing the problem and get a fix for this issue. In the meantime, we recommend that removing these KB updates will allow the machine to return to normal operation. We understand this is not a long-term solution, but rather a workaround to get users working again.
