The information below is only applicable to the 10.08 version.
This video explains the circumstances behind the "Incompatible Civil Data" message and demonstrates using the VersionChecker.exe tool to associate a DGN file to its desired civil product.
When opening a DGN in OpenRoads Designer, OpenRail Designer, or OpenSite Designer, the DGN is 'aligned' to the product, so if the DGN will need to be opened in another product, it may be necessary to re-align the DGN to the desired product.
NOTE: DGN files from any product can be referenced into a different product for use by the programs. Product Alignment is only necessary to edit the files.
