Problem Description
A recent Windows 10 update is effecting CONNECTION Client CPU processes
Temporary Resolution
Uninstalling either KB5011831 or KB5013942 which is a cumulative update including KB5011831. Removal will temporarily resolve the problem while development investigates. We recommend suspending updates so Windows does not attempt to reinstall it anytime soon.
Please Create a service request or follow this article for updates.
For Service Request choose the Technical Support tile, and select CONNECTION Client as the product.
Resolution
Update May 19th:
If you are utilizing a third-party license manager named SofTrack, please update the Local Workstation Agent to version 7.27n as shown in the announcement from the vendor below:
[ SOFTRACK LOCAL WORKSTATION AGENT UPDATES {LWA} ]
* We have discovered that Microsoft's recent Windows 10 update "KB5011831" is causing some applications (both 32 and 64bit) to not fully startup and instead use high amounts of CPU time.
We have updated the SofTrack LWA to correct this situation.
[ AUTOMATIC LWA UPDATE - LWAUPD.EXE ]
New version of the LWA has been uploaded to softwaremetering.com as of 8pm US Central Time May 11, 2022; If using Automatic LWA updating, new version is 7.27n, update occurs after next time a user workstation is rebooted.
