Problem

How to update the SELECTserver licenses using an XML file?

Solution

Open Administration page
Windows Start – Programs – Bentley – SELECTserver – Admin page
Alternatively:
http://localhost/bss/admin/default.aspx

Copy the XML file into a folder inside the server.

Import the xml file in menu License Management > Import License File.

SELECTserver 8.x

SELECTserver 9.x

Select Browse... if you are using SELECTserver 8.x or Choose File for SELECTserver 9.x. and select the file that you copied on the folder.

Afterwards the Accept button must be activated to finish the Import successfully.

The file must not be unzipped, then HTTP Error 413.1 "Request Entity too large" occurs.
